The Best Spokane and Coeur d’Alene Locations for Brand Photography

Your Location Tells Your Brand Story

When it comes to brand photography, where we shoot matters just as much as what you wear.
Your surroundings help communicate who you are, what you do, and how you serve your clients.

At WorkStory Creative, every branding session begins with a planning meeting where we carefully choose the perfect locations to match your story. Whether that’s your office, your kitchen table, or a lakeside overlook, the goal is always the same—images that feel authentic, professional, and unmistakably you.

Here are some of my favorite options for brand photography sessions in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene, along with tips for choosing the best setting for your business.

Your Office or Business Location

If you operate from a brick-and-mortar location, that’s often the best place to start.
Your space already reflects your brand—the colors, décor, and layout tell clients a lot about your professionalism and personality.

I’ve photographed accountants, dentists, real-estate agents, marketing agencies, engineers, cyber-security firms, HR consultants, business brokers, massage therapists, physical therapists, and more right in their offices.

Even when lighting is tricky or spaces are tight, we make it work beautifully. I bring a full professional lighting kit and have mastered creative angles to make every environment look bright, inviting, and on-brand. During your pre-session planning meeting, I usually walk through the space with you or your marketing manager to decide which rooms will photograph best and how to prepare them—tidying desks, moving furniture, and optimizing artwork or décor.

Your Home Office or Lifestyle Setting

If you’re a personal brand—a realtor, consultant, author, creative, coach, or service provider who works from home—your home can be the perfect backdrop.

Home sessions offer complete privacy, easy access to wardrobe and props, and a comfortable, personal vibe that reflects you. I’ve photographed clients cooking in beautiful kitchens, leading yoga in serene home studios, working from cozy offices, or relaxing on patios overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene.

You don’t need a designer mansion; even a thoughtfully decorated corner of your home can create images that feel authentic and aspirational.

Co-Working Spaces

If you don’t have an office and your home isn’t photo-ready (no judgment—we’ve all been there), a co-working space is a fantastic option.

I’ve photographed clients at Fellow Coworking in downtown Spokane, Burbity Workspaces in Spokane Valley, MODE and Liberty Lake Coworking Liberty Lake, The Cove in Post Falls, The Happening Space in North Spokane, and The Innovation Den in Coeur d’Alene. There are dozens more in the area that I haven't even explored.

Each offers a unique look—from industrial modern to polished corporate. Costs and photography policies vary, so during your planning session, we’ll explore which location best matches your brand style and help coordinate permissions or bookings.

Vacation Rentals & Styled Homes

If you love the “home feel” but can’t (or prefer not to) use your own, consider renting an Airbnb, VRBO, or Peerspace location for your photoshoot. Many of my real estate agent clients have gotten permission to do photoshoots in staged homes for sale, which is awesome. They are generally pristine!

This option gives you flexibility in style—modern downtown condos, rustic farmhouses, lake cottages, or luxury retreats. Do note that most hosts of vacation rentals charge for a full night or two, even if you’re only using the space for a few hours, so plan your session accordingly (or treat yourself to a night away afterward!).

Photography Studios

Although most of my clients prefer authentic, environmental imagery, a traditional studio look can be a great fit if your brand calls for it.

Spokane and Coeur d’Alene have several studios available for rent by the hour, each offering controlled lighting and neutral backdrops.

I don’t currently maintain a permanent studio, but I’m happy to make recommendations and arrange rentals if we decide a studio setting aligns with your aesthetic or marketing goals.

Outdoor & Urban Spaces

Outdoor settings can bring incredible energy and relatability to your brand photos.
I’ve photographed clients hiking on Tubbs Hill, walking their dogs through Manito Park, or working on laptops at local patios and cafés.

For a modern, urban feel, Spokane’s downtown streets, brick alleys, and Riverfront Park offer dynamic backdrops that instantly communicate “local business.”

Because outdoor sessions depend heavily on weather and lighting, I always recommend a backup date. If rain or harsh light threatens your session, we’ll reschedule to ensure you get the best possible results—without compromising quality.

Coffee Shops & Public Spaces

Coffee-shop photos can work beautifully if that setting is part of your real brand story—meeting clients, working remotely, or simply reflecting your community vibe.

We just need to plan ahead. Many shops require permission or a special time slot to photograph, and we’ll want to avoid capturing other customers in the background. Because flash photography can disrupt the environment, we typically rely on natural light for these shoots.

If you have a favorite local spot, let’s ask! I’m always happy to help coordinate a comfortable, professional setup.

Places Unique to You

The best locations are those that mean something to your story. During your planning session, we’ll dive into what your clients need to see and feel when they connect with your brand.

Maybe that’s your art studio, favorite hiking trail, or the local boutique where you network with clients. The key is to choose spaces that reinforce your brand message and help your audience think, “That’s exactly who I want to work with.”

Final Thoughts

Every brand session is unique, and so is the perfect setting.

From tidy offices in downtown Spokane to relaxed lakeside decks in Coeur d’Alene, the goal is always to tell your story authentically.

No matter where we shoot, I bring professional lighting, direction, and an eye for detail that ensures your final images look stunning, on-brand, and true to you.
