How to Intentionally Create a Personal Brand
Dec 24, 2021During 17 very successful years of direct sales and as a single Mom, Dolly learned the value of coaching. She felt called to bring this same value to entrepreneurs and small business owners who were overwhelmed by wearing so many different hats.
In her past experience with direct sales, Dolly met many women who found that owning their own business while also raising a family was overwhelming and difficult, especially after a year like 2020. We are now the teacher, the gym coach, the entertainer AND the business owner. The question kept coming up, “How do you create a new normal to balance that work and home life and not let one slide?”
Harmony is the New Balance
Through AlignUp Coaching, Dolly is helping women business owners to find a place of harmony between their home and work life. She helps others navigate through those obstacles so that one aspect is not taking all of the traction and the other is suffering.
Creating an Intentional Brand
“People need to remember that the experiences, the education, and the skills that they have developed in every area of their life all along, always supports the next thing.”
Determine your Ideal Client
Dolly has been very successful in the direct sales industry, one of the top tier leaders, helping other women to build their independent businesses and coaching them through their business struggles. After receiving the accreditation for life coaching, the transition to creating another brand with AlignUp Coaching was basically just an extension of what she was already doing, now she is just able to connect with a broader audience. She determined a need in her current industry and made that her ideal client.
Create a Strategy
With the help of WorkStory Photography, a strategy was created where “there was a way for me to convey… that I am a mom, a business owner, and that I have that fun aspect but I can also get the job done.”
Why WorkStory Photography?
“The time that you took at the front end for us to just have a real candid transparent conversation, because I really felt like, “what am I doing here?!” You were so gracious and patient and you really helped craft a vision of what might be possible.”
In what ways are you using the strategy that we created in your content marketing?
Social media: Weekly Tuesday Ten Facebook lives, Thursday Thoughts emails, Instagram, client materials, business cards, etc.
Dolly says, “The best relief is that I know that I have an image for everything I need.”
One of Dolly’s most successful aspects of her strategy is the weekly Tuesday Ten. “This has been a commitment for myself for a consistent way to show up. Ten minutes or less each week to AlignUp!” she says.
You can find Dolly at AlignUpcoaching.com or on Facebook @alignupcoaching. Catch her #Tuesday10 each Tuesday at 9am PST.
